Should I buy a corsage for my Senior Prom?

I am not going to my prom with a date, but am going to be with my friends. I have my dress already, hair, and nail appointments as well. Even though I am going with no date would it be appropriate to buy a corsage even though I don't have a legit date? My prom is May 14.
